i am 19 and have a son, but im pregnant again. I have a due date of the 30th of july, i work it out that i have about 21 weeks to go, making me 18 weeks pregnant. However, my midwife just told me that she works it as i am 22 weeks pregnant tomorrow, and my uterus is measuring 21-22 weeks as well. Can somebody clarify this for me please?

You baby could just be bigger than normal, I know my uterus was measuring small at one point and my son was born at only 6 lb 15 oz, making him a tiner baby and he was late. The due date is approximat. Your baby might just be growing faster.

is it possible you couldve miscalculated? that spinning calendar was pretty accurate with nathan, in that my due date was dec. 28th 2008. That may not count for the date of conception though because those dates are approximate because it doesnt usually happen immediately after sex. It could be up to a week later or 5 days or something.

it could be, i just took todays date, counted how many weeks to my due date, and then subtracted that from 40, so i guess its possible

due dates given from doctors are an estimation of when you got pregnant.
they go from your last period and work out when you ovulated, and when you should be due.
but i would think they go by the average 28day cycle, and not everyone has a 28day cycle and ovulates the same day as every other woman, so its just an estimate really.
some women can be really close from the due date they recieve, but its still all estimates.
