How can Celiac Disease mess with your alcohol tolerance?

I found out I was celiac back in May, and have been strictly gluten free since then. (Besides the few mistakes) Since then I have noticed that after 1 or 2 mixed drinks with SAFE alcohol, I end up extremely nauseous about 3 hours later and after a few hours end up vomiting and feeling sweaty and headachy and miserable for a good 24 hours.
I have never had this problem before. I'm not proud of this, but usually it would take about 7 straight shots or 4 or 5 mixed drinks to really get me sick, and even then I never vomited. (I don't drink on a regular basis)
Has anyone else noticed this? I feel like I'm crazy or something, but celiac has proven to effect me in crazy ways so far.

You can not just say alcohol, some are celiac safe, and some are not. Beer is made from wheat, barley and rye, while wine is just grapes. As for hard liquor, I believe that it depends upon the distillation process used or not used in production.
