Hormones? Is it time for me to consider HRT?

I've been peri-menopausal now for 2 years (no periods) I guess. I am 53 years old. Doing it 'cold turkey' so to speak with only taking Estroven to relieve hot flashes. So far so good, that is until lately. Lately the hot flashes and weight gain have been ridiculous! Haven't had an uninterrupted night sleep in months. Is it time for me to consider HRT or do you have others suggestions?

Sometimes taking HRT is worth the improvement in quality of life. Just be sure to get the proper dose of progestin or progesterone with the estrogen to protect your uterus.
