hole in my gums above my tooth from root canal

I've had a hole in my gums above my tooth I got a room canal but still will not go away puss does come out of it just wondering why it won't go away I've also taken antibiotics and still won't go away.it feels like there is pressure on the sore when I touch it does anybody know what this could be and also has been there for almost 10 yrs thanks

Welcome to e health forum.

If you have pus being extruded from a cavity, gland or any other soft tissue area within the oral cavity it could be a sign of infection within the tooth (dental tissues), mandible (jaw bone) or other soft tissues or glands.

A proper physical examination will give a basic idea about the source of infection. If required tests including Dental Xray , Paranasal X Ray, or a CT can be done.

If your dentist is not helpful, It would be best if you can consult your doctor or a ENT doctor and get a proper medical opinion.
