can hiv transmit through hair trimmer? should test for hiv? pls answer me.

Hello and thank you for posting your medical question on E health forum.

No HIV cannot be transmitted through hair trimmers or any fomites (A fomite is any inanimate object or substance capable of carrying infectious organisms). HIV as a virus cannot exist outside of a living cell on its own. It will be inactivated and hence non-infective.

You might consider to consult your doctor for reassurance and counselling. Your doctor can also clear all your doubts that you may have.

thank you very much. i got negative results for my previous exposure after three months. after that i'm fearing for everything like these things trimmers ect. i'll consult psychologist anyway.
