Hello I had a questions about HIV testing. After a possible exposure to be exact very minimal, brief anal sex which was unfortunately unprotected. After the following potential exposure I was tested multiple times for HIV. With the 4th generation test at 5 weeks, 8 weeks, 11 weeks, 16 weeks, and another lab test at 18 weeks. The person I was with tested negative but I’m still scared that I may have it. I was negative for all other stds as well. Please help me. I also received negative Rapid tests at 9 weeks and 13 weeks.

Welcome to e health forum.

If the last test at 18 weeks was negative, then it is sure that you were not infected and hence there is nothing that you need to worry about.

I hope this helps.
