High Ige levels and chronic cough

Hi, my four year old son has had a chronic cough for two years now that is mainly at night when he lays down. He is currently taking nasonex, patanase, and nexium but has also tried xyzal, albuterol, xopenex, pulmicort, and many others with no luck. We recently went to see an allergy and immunology specialist in hopes of finding out what the problem is once and for all. We first went over his medical history and he has a history of reflux and asthma. She said it could be the reflux but, decided to do some labs first to check for allergy or immune problems. She called me today and said a few of the labs were back and that his white blood cell count was slightly low and his Ige was 4,000 and she said normal for him would be around 100. She said this may mean an allergy problem but, she will talk more with me when all the results are back. I would like to see what someone else thinks and what can cause this. Also, if it is allergy...what other options do we have since the meds aren't working and we have had his room full proof for over a year now. We have an allergy mattress cover, pillow cover, and air purifier.

High IGE and chronic cough
I have the same problem, and now am on Xolair injections twice a month, and now allergy shots too. I am 35 and have a chronic cough my whole life. The pulmonologist cannot find anything else wrong with me, but I am always getting lung/sinus infections. Very frustrating!!!!! Taking antihistamines and Nexium as well, plus symbicort.

Beware of Doctors responces to hig IGE levels
My Son , who is now 18, was BORN with allergies and has an IGE level of 27,600. He has chronic allergies and asthma. We are now getting Embryonic stem cell therapy in Mexico which is changing his whole system to a normalized system. Doctors in the USA will put you on one med that gives you other symptomology and before you know it your one 20 meds a day. We stopped and left the country. He in BOT on steroids everyday ( as he was in the US) he is only on an inhaler as needed (once in awhile), and he is so much more healthy. We will have his IGE levels checked again in a few months. We went to the top docs in the country, Dr Hugh Sampson, Dr William Rea, and so MANY more. Allergy shots and a rotation diet do wok, but the protocol is exhausting. Beware and do your investigations yourself. We and Our son has suffered endlessly his whole life with Doctors who over medicated him and told us, they had no other option but to keep him on steroids. If we had, he would be dead right now.
