My boyfriend of 3 year is getting treatment for heptitis C from things when he was a baby, and they have warned us not to have a baby why he is on this treatment, could someone explain to me what may happen if we did try for a baby would it harm the baby?

Since Hepatitis C is transmitted via sexual intercourse, trying to have a child can transmit the infection to you.

This is the reason, why you have been asked to use protection while having intercourse
