Heavy bleeding after missed pill

I am on Sprintec. I started the pack this month on the 1st day of my period. I accidentally missed a pill a week ago. Instead of taking two pills I only took the one pill for the day I remembered. The next day I bleed a little. I have continued taking the pill everyday, but the bleeding has been heavy like I am on my period. Today I'm only three pills away from the white pills that should give me my period. Should I continue? Or should I stop and try again after the bleeding stops?

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and I understand your concern.
You should not be worried about bleeding. Continue your pills. Also take mefenemic acid and tranexamic acid till bleeding subsided.
I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
