My heart suddenly jumps out of nowhere, like I'd be sitting and have a slow heart rate and then suddenly I'd feel like my heart would flip and I wouldn't be able to breathe for a second. This has been happening to me a lot recently and I'm 16.

Hello and welcome to EHF,

I appreciate your concern,

Alot of new changes are happening in your body as you grow rapidly at this age and as your hormones play a major role,it might be just a normal sympathetic response of your body to some unusual stimulus, but just to be extra safe, you should see a cardiologist and have your ekg done as soon as possible to rule out rhythm abnormalities of the heart.

I hope this is helpful,

Wishing you the best of health.
