I was wondering if anyone can share some knowledge with me regarding arrythmias. I very very very rarely feel myself throwing ectopic beats in short string, sometimes for 3 or 4 seconds, other times just a quick light flutter. I've only ever been able to catch supra ventricular singles and doubles. Nothing more and that's with 72 hours worth of recording at 2 different times. Well today I was really rally relaxed. Then I went out quite abruptly and went on my bike upto the atm machine. Biking quite moderately, I yawned and then felt one ectopic beat, followed by another... Another... Another.... Another. So I hit my chest to try and bring myself to reality as such. By this time I was off my bike walking it thinking that I may not come out of this rhythm. What could of caused this? I have my own ecg machine and have done 2 since that episode and both ecgs are normal. Entirely normal.

Welcome to e health forum.

The cause of such ectopic beats can be due to various factors including cardiac diseases, stress, anxiety, etc.

It would be ideal that you consult with a cardiologist and seek a proper medical opinion.
