headaches, slight nausea and heartburn

User Profile
My period was 4 days late. On day 4 I had slight brown spotting. I took 2 pregnancy tests, both negative. My breasts aren't tender, but I've had headaches, slight nausea and heartburn (starting on day 1 of missed period). My boyfriend and I have been having unprotected sex since Oct 2010. Could I be pregnant?

Welcome to ehealthforum,
Lighter/altered periods, headaches, nausea, heartburn could suggest few of early symptoms of pregnancy. Observe the bleeding/spotting and see if it turns to be your periods within next few days. If you miss your periods, or if you continue to have altered bleeding, or if you suspect chances of pregnancy, you should consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist at the earliest for thorough examination (to confirm pregnancy related changes/signs in body) and blood/serum HCG level test (to confirm/rule out pregnancy accurately). Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Take adequate rest. Drink plenty of water. Maintain healthy diet.
Take care.
