Hi! I see these are all old post but I’m hoping for answers or results .. my daughter is 3 years old and about a year ago started with these random sharp headache that last abouy 15-20 seconds she grabs her head and cries to the point where she hold her breath and lips start turning purple I blow on her face rub her head and then she is find.. this typically happened 1 a month and the past two episodes have been two weeks apart .. doctor suggested mri but I havnt gone because I’m freaking out she wants to go with and without contrast .. there are no other symptoms aside from the 15 seconds pain in the back of the head.. what are the results of mri? Iodine contrast used?

I read your question and i understand your concern. MRI is mandatory to rule out any lesion inside. Also EEGs should be advised as it could be focal fits.
