I fell out of a moving vehicle going 40 mph..lost consciousness and when i woke up on side of paved road, I had a large scrape on bottom on chin with bleeding and very bruised and swollen lt ankele. I never went to dr. Now its been about 48 hours and have developed a severe headache in posterior aspect of head and left jaw and neck pain. Could this be serious or will it just pass? Thank you

Hi,
Welcome to the forum. I am really glad to help you out. The pain which you have described could be serious and I sincerely believe that you should consult a neurosurgeon/oral surgeon and get yourself evaluated.

You might need further tests like x-rays or a CT scan to rule out any fracture. You should also get inj. Tetanus toxoid to prevent the risk of tetanus. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
