he only get seizure when he has fever?

Hi,my son is 6 years old ,his first seizure was when he was 7 months old,it was always treated as fibral cunvultion,5 months ago his EEG and MRI Scan were normal but he is now put on Epillim because they said he is to old for fibral,my auestion is is the a possibility that he does not hav eppilepsy as he only get seizure when he has fever?

I read your question and i understand your concern. Febrile seizures do not recur and self resolves once the fever is gone. If its repeated, and eeg favours seizures then its epilepsy. He will need at least 2 years compliance to medication and if he stays seizure free then he can be considered for weaning off the meds slowly.
