Having multiple periods within a months time.

Hello,

The past couple months I've had a period every 2 weeks aprox. It seems to be heavy and last 5-7 days. I am on birth control and stopped breast feeding my daughter about eight months ago and the whole time I breast fed I had no period. I then recieved my period two months after stoping. So im not sure that my period is trying to get regular or is this something I should be worried about?

Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum

If you have started birth control recently then possibility is there that you are having the side effect of the pill intake.Usually after breast feeding it may take time for the cycles to be regularized.
If the bleeding is very heavy and prolonged consider visiting a Gynaecologist for evaluation.

Take Care!
