Menstruation Answer A26198

From your age(13 years) if you have recently started with your menstrual periods, then irregularity of menstrual periods is seen for few months after menarche(beginning of menstrual cycles). But if you have started with your menstrual periods long back, then the other causes need to be probed. High level of stress, cholesterol, hormonal imbalance and recent weight loss (which you have).

Eat a healthy, nutritious diet and if the symptoms persist then get anorexia nervosa and hormonal imbalance checked by your doctor.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
