have other sexual contact...

User Profile
hi - I have been on microgynon for about a year now but I started bleeding 10 days into my pack. At first it was like a proper period and now it is just dark spotting. I don't have penetrative sexual relations, but my long term boyfriend and I do have other sexual contact such as hands etc. I haven't missed any pills or had any stomach upsets. Could I be pregnant?? Before the bleeding started I was undergoing aperiod of heavy physical activity on a ski training week.

Hi, and thanks for your medical question on eHealth forum!

If you did not have proper intercourse, then you cannot be pregnant. Bleeding inbetween a pack can sometime happen due to hormonal disturbance caused by increased physical activity, illness or due to taking some drugs. If this persists from cycle to cycle consult a gynecologist. Hope this helps. Take care!
