have a uti and on antibiotics. is it still safe to try?

Myself and my partner are trying for a baby but I got diagnosed with a uti today and on antibiotics for a couple of days, is it still safe to have unprotected sex and keep trying??

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
You can continue your pregnancy plans after you finish with the antibiotic course. Get your partner also treated simultaneously to prevent re-infection. Vaginal infections can easily infect the urinary tract (as female urethra is close to the vaginal opening). Drink plenty of water. Avoid tight fitting clothes.
