Welcome to e health forum.

Relationships are difficult. But being possessive about a person, puts you at more problem. You have to be relaxed and confident in yourself , so that you can ensure that the person in your life is confident and wants to be with you. There should be adequate space to wiggle in a relationship, so that it is comfortable and enjoyable. Possessiveness and jealousy can cause a relation to become uncomfortable and ultimately break down.

If your partner is happy with you, then you should not worry about anything else. If he is unhappy then anything you do to annoy him, or break his trust can be damaging to your relationship. If he is not comfortable in the relation, and does not want to continue then you should be strong and leave in peace.

If you have any concerns, then you should speak to your partner and clarify your doubts, but make sure, that you have a open mind and willing to adapt to the changes.

The best way you can get out of this is to consult with a psychiatrist, who can get a detailed history and rule out conditions like depression, neurosis and provide specific counselling or medications.
