I'm a 47 yr old female who's hair started thinning in my 40th year.
It started I think with an iron deficiency but since has developed into an itching scalp.
My ferratin levels are fine but my hair now is very thin and my scalp itches all day with sometimes very sore patches especially on the top of my scalp.
Dermatology at an NHS hospital drew a blank, there is nothing to see bar hair loss even all of my bloods came back fine so everyone is at a loss while I continue on with thinning hair.
Something internally must be wrong for hair to shed this way.
Any ideas? all thoughts muchly appreciated.
