had to use parasite medicine...constant gurgling?

User Profile
I have had constant gurgling from my stomach area, liquidy/and clumpy mucus from my intestines-the gurgling usually starts later afternoon and continues through the night. NO Pain. I am in a foreign country-have had to use lots of parasite medicine over the past few years and am infected again-trying to eliminate the amebas as this goes on and on.
I should mention I have a past history of ulcerative colitis-but has not been active for atleast 4 years
thank you.

Hello and welcome to eHealth forum!

It is possible that you have a relapse of ulcerative colitis. Get your stool examined for eggs and cysts of parasites and see what infection you still have. You will need to take repeat course of de-worming medication. Also possibility of IBS should be looked into. Please consult gastroenterologist regarding this as a confirmed diagnosis is not possible on net. Hope this helps. Take care!
