had my periods after stopping regestrone?

I was taking regestrone(21 days) to regularize my periods. After starting the course, after 10days I was doubtful whether I was pregnant. I did a pregnancy blood test and the result was negative. So I contined the regestrone tablet course, ie) complete 21 days and I got my periods 4 days after stopping the medicine.
I just wanted to know whether the pregnancy blood test was done too early??(it was taken 2 weeks after possible conception)
And can I be pregnant if I had my periods after stopping regestrone??
I have heard that after stopping regestrone, if u dont get your periods within 7-9 days there are chances to be pregnant. Is the opposite possible?ie)if I have my periods after the taking medicine, does it confirm that i am NOT PREGNANT?? Do I need to do a pregnancy test again???
Please help..

Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum

Hormonal preparations are always advised to start after the periods so that pregnancy possibility is ruled out.If you had unprotected intercourse before starting them or during taking themthen possibility of pregnancy is present.
It is difficult to comment without examination.
Kinldy visit a Gynaecologist for evaluation.

Take care!
