User Profile
Well I was 6 weeks pregnant when I had a surgical abortion on 13th May 2012.I bled a little and had little pain.
On 16th May me and my bf were fooling around and he mistakenly put his thing inside me.But honestly he said he doesnt think he left anything in there(he quickly did pull out and went to the washroom to masturbate) and i didnt much feel anything just a little bit pain.Still i feel nothing!
But am too scared.Do u think I can get pregnant again? How soon can i check up for this possible pregnancy? And if not when can i expect my period?
Waiting eagerly for your reply!!

Hi,
Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am glad to help you out.

I can understand your concern but relax as pregnancy is least likely in your case because of two reasons:

1) There was no ejaculation inside the vagina.

2) You had recent surgical abortion which scrapes off the innermost lining of uterus and hence implantation cannot occur.

After a D&C, a new lining will build up in the uterus. Your next menstrual period may not occur at the regular time. It may be early or late. Normally, bleeding after a D&C is present for 2 weeks and normal menstruation starts after 6 weeks of D&C. So try having a safe intercourse by using condoms after 15 days of your D+C.

If you have doubts regarding your pregnancy, you can do a urine for pregnancy test at 9 or 10 days past ovulation with a sensitive ( 20 - 25 mIU ) pregnancy test or get your serum HCG levels checked.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
