good candidates for liposuction?

A large part of our self esteem depends on how we perceive ourselves - both intellectually and physically. Having an aesthetically pleasing body definitely boosts your self esteem. That's why crash diet programs and exercise are getting very popular. But sometimes exercise and diets do not give you the desired results. This is where liposuction comes in. This has been a very popular and successful surgery for over three decades now. This procedure helps successfully remove the isolated fat deposits by precise targeting of these fats.
Who are good candidates for liposuction?

The candidacy for this surgery is decided by many factors. The patients are thoroughly examined and qualified for the procedure by a plastic surgeon. The main points to be considered are:

Candidate should be in excellent health.
Patient should be within 25 pounds of his or her ideal body weight.

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. Liposuction is a cosmetic procedure and no therapeutic value. if you wanna do it for fats and losing weight, i would consider bariatric surgery, which is both therapeutic as well as cosmetic.

I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
