Going months without bleeding

ok in the last four years iv had issues no period for two years then i get what i assume is my period then i go months with out bleeding, could i have internal bleeding caused by some thing else? for me to go so long with out then to bleed , and when i bleed its not long like two three days tops and its not much. whats wrong?

Your irregular and abnormal bleeding pattern could be due to your hormones being out of place. Get complete and thorough investigations done under supervision of a gynecologist to see what is going on.
The investigations would reveal if you need to be put on treatment to get back to having normal periods.
