go back to the doctor or what?

Hello ladies. I have been stressing out for the past two weeks and would really like some feedback. I don't know if I am pregnant or if something else is going on... First off: The facts.
I am 20 years old, been on birth control for years. I usually know when my periods are coming because I will start to have mild-severe cramping 2-3 days before bleeding and have to take pain killers. (It's always been this way.) Well I was supposed to start my period about 3 weeks ago... I was 5 days late! Sometimes I can be a day or two late and I don't think anything of it but 5 days?? I was a bit worried. On day 4 of my late period I had the worst cramping ever. It scared me because I had to miss school it was so painful. I usually have bad cramps as I stated above but this was unreal. Then on day 5, I started bleeding! Hooray I thought! But usually my periods are quite heavy and I am a small lady (5'5" 110 lbs)... But this period was pale in comparison. Light flow by my standards for sure. So I went to the doc about one week later... Took a urine test, not pregnant. Okay... Then my breasts started growing quite a bit! They hurt so much and felt very full. My boyfriend noticed and isn't sure what to think because normally my breasts are quite small and light but now they are bigger and fuller. I have been sleeping a LOT. Now I like my afternoon naps but this amount of sleep is ridiculous even for me lol. I feel completely exhausted and when I lay down I fall asleep and stay knocked out for hours... Like 5 hours, it's crazy. And then there is the bloating. As I mentioned before I am quite the small lady. I have never had a problem with bloating but now I feel very bloated and it shows. Ah, I almost forgot the nausea. Now I have been having a lot of middle of the night nausea and at first I blew it off but 2 weeks later and I am getting concerned.

I know this was long but I am really stressed out about this. I don't know if I should go back to the doctor or what. Especially since my doctors here in this small hick town are never helpful and blow me off
cuz I'm young and not a big name hotshot haha.

Any ideas or suggestions or comfort or anything would be really appreciated! I have searched countless forums but I just don't know what to think! Please help ladies!
and before I go, let me say that infertilty has
been a big problem with the recent generations in my family. There's some PCOS in there and I'm afraid I might have a problem like that... Please help! Thank you!

Welcome to e health forum.

A Missed period is a major indicator of a possible pregnancy. Other possible symptoms generally seen in early pregnancy include - Breast tenderness , Nausea in the early morning, Vaginal discharge from pinkish white to brownish, Spotting, Fatigue, and increased urge to urinate .

Since the last periods, you had was mild and less in duration, than the normal pattern you have, there could be a chance that the initial pregnancy test, might be false negative.

Hence since it has already been more than 2 weeks, you might benefit by repeating the urine pregnancy test once again.

In case, the test is positive for pregnancy, then proper steps as needed for either medical termination or continuation of pregnancy can be decided.

In case the test is negative, you can get a ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis, which will help in finding the cause of your symptoms. Conditions like PCOD can also be ruled out by a ultrasound.

I hope this helps.
