I have noticed that after eating my gland (I think Thyroid) swells. However a short time later it returns to normal. Does not happen all the time but enough to notice and concern me. Please let me know what this could possibly be.
I am a 59 year old White Male.

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and I understand your concern.
You might have problem in pharynx.Episodic swelling of thyroid is illogical. I would suggest you to have neck ultrasound to rule out organic cause.
I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
