Hi i'm back using ehealth as i'm nearly 9 months pregnant with my second baby only a year after my first daughter Raven was born..I have two swollen piles coming out of my bottom and they are very painfull and make me bleed sometimes when going to the toilet. My problem is this....not only am i absolutly terrified to give birth this time around (family say thats because i now know what to expect),as i had a terrible Episiotomy which burst open and had to be re-stitched and then got infected,i was in agony for weeks...but I'm also scared to death of while I'm pushing out baby number two in about 2weeks time I'm obviously going to make the piles worse with all the strain of pushing..Bassically i'm scared to have a bunch of grapes hanging out of my backside. The doctors and midwifes don't seem bothered much to try and help me and ive tried all the creams and pessaries under the sun...salt baths...ice packs..ect. I'm so unhappy i cry all the time and i really am down and depressed.I dont know what to do.Please any advice (without people being sarcastic) would be greatly apreciated.Thankyou,JadeXX

hey, I have the exact same problem and like you my doctor does not seem to care. I have heard you can really damage yourself if they get quiet bad and like you I am assuming when I give birth again I could really damage myself, the thought is actually worrying me non stop and I can't even enjoy this pregnany. I would love to get an op now but I'm pretty sure I cant if I'm pregnant. Please let me know if you figure anything out as nothing seems to work for me either, creams etc...!!

Tell your doctor of your concerns. There's not much point getting the operation whilst pregnant as then during birth you could get more. Getting the operations post birth is good. Your butt's not going to rip open during birth because of them. With all the other things ripping and tearing during birth I don't think you should worry about hemms right now. Just remember to get them removed after your bub ... for comfort.
