Getting Pregnant with Medroxyprogesterone ?

User Profile
I was put put on Medroxyprogesterone 5mg to take on days 10-24 of my cycle. I just took my last pill of the first dose yesterday. I didn't and still don't quiet understand how or when to take these pills. My doc said if i see spotting consider it the start of period and start the pill. I have never been regular but i am only 18. I am married we've been together 3 years and want a baby. I plan to take the pills every month on the first because that's when i started last month. Is that right? Also will this pill help me get pregnant? If so when should my hubby and i have intercourse for best results of getting pregnant???

Thanks for joining me on ehealthforum.
Medroxyprogesterone in high does inhibits pregnancy and should not be given to pregnant women. For what purpose were you prescribed these tablets?
Discuss about your plan for pregnancy with your healthcare provider/gynecologist and get an examination done along with investigations to find out what abnormality is there.
Once everything is fine, you can plan to get pregnant. The best time to conceive is during your fertile period (ovulation time) when chances of intercourse being fruitful are high.
All the best.
