Sexual Health - Men Answer A9681

Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am glad to help you out. Normally the skin of the penis and the scrotum is a bit darker than the rest of the skin and this is not uncommon in men of Indian origin.

There is nothing wrong with your penis and you should explain it to your wife. You can, however, shave the hair if you want to shave. While shaving, shave in the direction of hair growth, apply cold compresses(ice cubes wrapped in a towel) on the skin after shaving and also apply calamine lotion on the skin. It will help in soothing the skin. If there is any folliculitis and ingrown hair then you need to consult a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For an exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
