Generess: chewing vs. swallowing?

I just switched from Loestrin 24 to Generess. However, rather than chewing the birth controll pills, I have been swallowing them with water... Could this be the reason I am experiencing irregular periods and severe acne breakouts? Is the pill rendered "ineffective" if swallowed with water?

Welcome to ehealthforum

It is possible that due to switching over the pills you have been experiencing these effects as some woman experience these due to change. Also it is recommended to chew and then swallow Generess without water.
Kind;y follow the instructions mentioned and observe for changes. If there is no change consider visiting a Gynaecologist for evaluation.
