about 6 weeks ago I had swelling and redness in my lower leg just above my ankle and was diagnosed with cellulitis. It was treaded with a 14 day course of antibiotics and cleared up nicely with no know complications. Now about 4 weeks later I have started to notice some sensetivity in the same area. First just touch sensitive now it is a bit painfull when walking. Nothing that would stop me from being active but definitely there. I have no other signs of swelling, redness, fever, hot to touch or anything else noticeable from the outside. Should I be concerned about the infection returning? Or is it likely just something unrelated or a bit of soreness from the original infection? The exact location is between my calf and ankle on the inner side of my leg so not much muscle or anything else to have injured in this region. Thank you for your help.

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and I understand your concern.
Osteomyelitis should be ruled out. Otherwise it seems neuropathy. Just take pregabalin and look for the response.
I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
