Welcome to e health forum.

Currently available URINE based home pregnancy tests, are highly sensitive. These tests are recommended to be done at least 1 day after the missed period. A repeat test after 1 week of the missed period, can be considered definitive for a positive pregnancy test.

If the repeat test is negative, then it is more likely that your missed period is due to hormonal imbalance and not due to Pregnancy.

If you are still concerned about being pregnant, in-spite of the negative test, you may seek proper counselling from your doctor and if needed a blood test to clear your doubts can be done at the laboratory.

I hope this helps.
