gassy Symptoms from quitting smoking or pregnancy?

Hi, I have what feels like an air bubble in my throat which burping does not alleviate. When I eat, I feel nauseous and overly full yet the fullness feels like gas rather then food. I have been having bouts of light headededness. My ovaries have been sore for 10 days now; switching sides. My question is: Are my symptoms due to quitting smoking 12 days ago or could I be pregnant. My period is not due until 7/24/14 so it is too early to test. I'm wondering if I should go to the doctor for my symptoms now or if I should wait until next week to test for pregnancy.

Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am glad to help you out.

If there is a history of any unprotected intercourse then these symptoms can be due to pregnancy.other than that these symptoms can be due to acid reflux.

For confirming the status of pregnancy by urine for pregnancy test (UPT),the most accurate way to test for pregnancy is to wait until after your period is due. First appearance of pregnancy hormone, HCG, due to implantation occurs 6-12 days after ovulation. So if you don’t want to wait for your periods and test for pregnancy then you can test at 9 or 10 days past ovulation with a sensitive ( 20 - 25 mIU ) pregnancy test. I sincerely suggest you to do a urine for pregnancy test and if the test comes negative, then please wait for your periods and repeat the test after 1 week of your missed periods date.

I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and regards.
