Fracture at the distal end of fibula, different dr opinions

Hi,my father aged 64 years had a hair line fracture 2 months back and he had bed rest for 2 months .2 days back when we took X-ray ,it was showing still as Fracture at the distal end of fibula.We consulted the orthopedic and he confirmed to start walk slowly with the help of walker but when we took second opinion the other doctor was saying that the fracture is still there.Now I am confused and worried as different doctors have different opinions.Please help me,I have X-ray with me which I can post if required
