Why does my vagina have a really foul smell 3-4 days before my menstrual cycle? It is not an infection, I have been checked it is not a vaginal infection. It comes every month almost like a signal to let me know my cycle is about to start, but it smells horrible and I have very good hygiene.

Welcome to ehealthforum.
Change in menstrual bleeding pattern along with change in vaginal discharge smell could signal possibility of other causes like PID, endometriosis, adenomyosis, uterine fibroids etc. The smell could be due to the change in hormonal levels too. Consider discussing about these possibilities with your gynecologist and go ahead with further management. Drink plenty of water, include fresh fruits and juices in your daily diet.
Take care.
