First Trimester of Pregnancy Question

User Profile
Hi there, I’m about 6 weeks pregnant and had a bit of light pink discharge. It was just a couple of wipes worth and after that turned into slightly brownish discharge. This lasted a few hours and the nex day was all clear. Today however I’ve got some brown discharge again. Wouldn’t be enough to fill a pad or anything. I wouldn’t really worry about the discharge itself if it wasn’t for the constant period pain like pressure I’ve been feeling. This is my second pregnancy and with the first I didn’t have any symptoms what so ever for the first trimester so this makes me a bit nervous. Also, some nights I experience quite intens pressure with some shooting pain in the rectal area. I’m not having a scan until later this week and think I just need some reassurance and I can’t ring my GP because it’s a public holiday. Cheers :)

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and I understand your concern.
You would need assessment. I would suggest you to have urinalysis and ultrasound abdomen to sort out the problem.
I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
