Hey guys, just got a quick question, kinda panicking here, me and my girlfriend were partaking in some experimentation earlier today and she ended up giving me a handjob, all went swell until i finished, i pull up my pants and gave my fingers a quick wipe down as they are sticky, perhaps not thoroughly enough, around five minutes later i am fingering her, is there any risk of pregnancy with hands that have been roughly wiped after contact with semen?

Extremely eHealthy
That is extremely low risk. Just don't go wiping a glob of fresh semen into her vagina. Do you know about ovulation and the fertile window? If she was within ten days of her next period you are off the hook on that account too.

Normally during sex, when ejaculation occurs inside the vagina, about 3 ml of semen (with upto 60 million sperms per ml) is deposited inside the vagina, and most of it is ejected into the uterus, through the cervix. But only thousands of capacitated sperms enter the fallopian tube and only 300-500 reach the ovum, and only one of those sperms can fertilize the ovum.

Hence when a drop or two of semen comes into contact on the clitoris or outside the vaginal introitus - the chance of pregnancy is very rare. This is due to the fact that sperms have to travel a long distance from the external genitalia to the fallopian tubes where conception occurs.

In case, a few drops of semen, reach deep within the vagina / Cervix, when fingers are inserted very deeply, chances of pregnancy are theoretically possible, though practically it is very rare.

In your case, if the fingers were " Dry " as described, the chances of getting pregnant are negligible, hence you need not worry.

But you need to keep in mind to follow safe sex and always use condoms or emergency contraception in order to to avoid pregnancy.

Remember, knowledge is power and knowledge of what can cause pregnancy and the steps you can take to prevent it will make you more calm and more able to explore your sexuality with confidence.
