finding myself sat up during my sleep.

User Profile
Over the past 12 months, I've been finding myself sat up during my sleep. I'll be sat up with my hands holding up my chin/face up with my elbows resting on my legs or bed. When i wake up, I have awful pins and needles (because of the weight resting on my arms for so long).
I'm wondering if this is a common thing to happen during sleep? It's been quite a stressful time just lately and the way I'm sitting makes me think I'm thinking about things during my sleep.
My partner who isn't here all the time as we don't live together says sometimes he has to lay me down 2-3 times a night. Other times, I'm fine.

Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I read your question and i understand your concern. your question has answers in it. Avoid such bad postures and things will get better. yes it happen to every one of us if we make such prolonged postures where weight makes further troubles by compressing the nerves.

I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
