Finding doctor after pituitary tumor ?

User Profile
I was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor in 2014. My doctor has since left practice. I told my new PCP I was told to have an MRI annually but she said it wasn't necessary. I don't like her because she never seems to know what she's doing Because of this & other reasons, I've lost all faith in doctors. How does one go about finding a good doctor - someone with warmth an empathy?

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!
I read your question and I understand your concern.
Yes,annual screening should be done if its incidental and microadenoma. If its functional or causing hypopituitarism then gamma knife or surgery should be done.Consult endocrinologist to evaluate you.
I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
