I'm a 23 year old female and I had surgeries done to repair bilateral inguinal hernia as an infant that may have involved the ovaries. My question is, in case the ovaries were involved in the herniated mass, is there a possibility that my fertility will be affected ?
Thank you.

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. Usually inguinal hernia does not involve ovaries and "may have" suspicion is not worrisome. If you are getting your cycles regularly and there are no hirsutism issues then you dont need to worry about anything.

I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
