Fertility after bilateral inguinal hernia ?

i had bilateral inguinal hernia when i was 4 years old. will my operation when i was young affect my fertility in my later years? btw, i am feeling a lump in my reproductive area. im not sure if that means something or it just transpired from my anxiety. i hope you could answer my question.

Normally an inguinal hernia repair has no consequences on fertility. However if you have a lump in the reproductive area, then it could be a hernia, a hydrocele, varicocele or a spermatocele. It can also be a cyst.

If this is left undiagnosed or untreated, then this can cause a problem with fertility in future. Please consult an urologist regarding this. Hope this helps. Take care!
