fell and caught myself on my right hand, still painful

User Profile
I recently fell and caught myself on my right hand with almost all my body weight on my pinky. My hand swelled up for days. I went to urgent care and the x-ray did not show anything but my hand hurts. There is this dull pain down my arm. Makes me think of when you get the flu shot and your arm aches. My pink side of my hand hurts especially if I turn my hand a certain way. The swelling and bruise are gone but I am wondering if there is something else wrong. Why is the pain still here? Oh and its hard for me to bring my pinky together with the rest of my fingers. Using a mouse at work is torture.

Thank you for asking at ehealthforum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. With history of trauma and all labs clear i would suggest not to worry. Healing takes its time and peripheral healings are slower. SO wait and see and continue symptomatic treatment you shall feel the difference soon.

I hope it helps. stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and can not be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.

Take care
