Feels like i'm awake but can't move and loud ringing in head.

So I've had this "dream" or "nightmare" twice where I start to hear a VERY loud ring in my head and feels like I'm awake but can't move. Nothing feels dream like and everything appears normal. This dream is like I hear this loud ring, feel like something is wrong, try to pull/push my self up from bed to wake up and nothing happens.

Last night was the second time this happened and I remember thinking if I do something to wake myself up more it would end, just to find out it was just apart of the "dream".

I know dreams and nightmares are you living out a desire/want/fear and can usally figure out the meaning of them when I think about them but this I can't not figure out what it could be meaning.

Look up 'exploding head syndrome'. Sounds worse than it is, actually considered harmless.

When it comes to exploding head syndrome' "alcohol abuse" more or less sums it up for me since I have a drinking problem. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't being abducted by aliens. LOL.
