Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
Sometime periods can be delayed due to stress, changes in diet, sleep and exercise levels, hormonal changes, etc. If pre-cum or semen has come in contact with vagina during your sexual contact, (especially during your fertile days), then chances of pregnancy cannot be ruled out completely. Urine pregnancy test usually start showing positive results after about 20 days post-conception that roughly corresponds to about a week after your missed periods. Wait and watch for your next periods. Look out for development of any new symptom suggestive of early pregnancy. If you do not start with periods within 10 days of expected period dates or if you develop any new symptoms suggestive of early pregnancy, or if you get abnormal periods, visit your doctor/gynecologist for further examination (to confirm pregnancy related changes/signs in body) and blood/serum HCG level test (to confirm/rule out pregnancy accurately). Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest. Maintain healthy diet.
If pregnancy gets ruled out, and if you intend to remain sexually active, consider visiting your gynecologist to get started on suitable regular birth control measures to be protected (after your periods). Be regular with birth control use as instructed. Avoid having unprotected sexual contact.
Take care.
