Hi there,

For the last week, i have developed the most annoying twitching in my lower left eye. It is not constant, but occurs about 10 times a day, often more. I have recently switched to a very low carb diet, but I am also taking 350 mg magnesium, 50mg potassium, 800mg calcium, vitamin d and k on a daily basis. I started these as I had pain in lower back and legs which I attributed to Atkins diet.

This eye twitching starts fromt the minute I wake up, and that eye lid feels heavy.

I have had eye twitching before, but usually lasting no more than a day and usually due lack of sleep, but this is not the case now.

Have you any ideas?

Many thanks!

i had exact same and ended up going to GP. didnt know if it was due my diet or sinus problems...h assured me it would go away, tho it was o intense, i thought I was stuck with it!!! it passed after about a week, but was EXTREMELY annoying. I lay with a warm compress on it for relief, but I think it just is a trapped nerve or something and relieves in its own time. U have my sympathy! it is VERY annoying! p.s i took decongestants for a week may have helped?? hope it clears up, it will for sure ... j
