Expired birth control safe and effective to use as contraception

I found my unopened birth control pills I hadn't used from 06/2/2015. On the pharmacy sticker it says discard by 06/03/2016 can I still use them?

Hello,
Obviously no. Why should you use the expired medicine? They have lost their potency and just discard them.
