excruciating pain a month after Smiths Fracture operation

Although is only a month since my wrist operation, I'm finding the pain in my wrist excruciating. I know its early days, but I can feel the screws attaching the metal plate to the bone. Despite the physio telling me to bend and stretch the wrist, its impossible to flex anything like her expectations. I cannot sleep well, and am conscious of the nerve pain continually. Is anyone else in the same position or has any ray of hope for pain free healing?

Thank you for asking at ehealthforum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. Pain after such procedures is very common and needs adequate analgesia for the relief. Also you need physiotherapy exercise and compliance to that. Slow and steady wins the race. It will take time. Dont give up.

I hope it helps. stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and can not be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.

Take care
