Epilim chrono is a brand name for valproate sodium in the United Kingdom. Valproate sodium is the sodium salt of valproic acid and is an anticonvulsant used in the treatment of epilepsy and bipolar disorder, as well as other psychiatric conditions requiring the administration of a mood stabilizer.

Using a dose lower than that actually prescribed might result in reduced drug availability and failure of therapy, on a case to case basis.

Whether the deterioration is due to the lower dosage or due to other comorbid conditions need to be assessed.

Consult your doctor for a proper opinion.
